Note: External Collaboration must first be enabled by a Company Admin.
Members of an organization can invite External Guests to communicate and collaborate. Workstorm is private-by-default and guests must be invited into specific Direct Messages, Channels, and Streams.

External Guests have an orange globe icon next to their name. In addition, if a Channel or Stream has at least one External Guest, the orange globe is displayed next to its name.
Create an Account
The first time you are invited to a DM or Channel on Workstorm, you will receive an email containing an invite link. To join the conversation, you must first make an account:
- Click Verify Email Address to open the sign-up page.

- Follow the instructions in the portal to enter your email, name, and password.
- Click Create Account.
Personalize your Workstorm
Once you create an account, you will be presented with a brief tutorial to help you navigate the platform. Depending on how you were invited, you will be taken to a DM, Channel, Stream, or Workstorm’s help bot.

To personalize your Workstorm:
- Further develop your Workstorm profile by uploading a profile picture, adding your job title, and configuring security settings.
- Explore and customize your individual Workstorm experience with access to more menus, display modes, and help resources.
Begin Collaborating
External Guests can access the same collaborative tools as any other user:
- Chat one-on-one or in groups with Workstorm Messages.
- Start or schedule a Video Conference.
- Sign in to Microsoft 365 and Google to access your integrated Files, Email, and Calendar.
