Workstorm’s Files feature allows users to access and organize documents across several document management systems (DMS). To learn how to share files, click here.
File Storage
To access your files, click on the Files icon in the Navigation Bar. Then, select Workstorm or a connected DMS.

Note: For those in Fully Featured View, or who otherwise do not see Files in their Navigation Bar, select More to open the overflow menu.
Native File Storage
Workstorm offers local file storage and, by default, creates three main folders:
- Shared with You: Where local files shared with you in DMs, Channels, and Announcements are stored. The contents of this folder cannot be edited.
- Uploads: Where local files you have uploaded in DMs, Channels, and Announcements are stored.
- Video: Available for recorded Workstorm Video Conferences and other video files.
Separate folders are automatically created for files shared with you or uploaded within Streams.

DMS Connections
Workstorm connects with many products including, Box, Dropbox, iManage, Microsoft OneDrive, and Google Drive. This allows you to connect and access your file links from within the Workstorm platform. You must log in to each DMS in order to access those files.

Tile View displays folders, thumbnail previews for image files, and color-coded icons for PDFs, Microsoft documents, and more. To switch to Tile View, click on grid icon in the top-right corner of the window.

Search and Filter
