Members of a conversation can upload files directly to a Channel or Direct Message. Files can be uploaded from Desktop, from Workstorm Files, or from any integrated Document Management Systems.
To upload a file from a DMS:
- Beneath the Message bar, select the Upload File icon.
- Select a DMS from the list provided.
- If you are not already logged into your DMS account, click the Sign-in button and enter your credentials.
- Navigate to the file or use the search bar at the top of the window.
- Click Share Files and ensure the file(s) appear in the relevant Channel or DM.
To upload a file from your device:
- Beneath the Message bar, select the Upload File icon.
- Select Upload from Desktop.
- In the Upload Files pop-up, select your file through one of two methods:
- Drag and drop your file into the Upload Files pop-up window.
- Click Select File(s) from Desktop, locate your file, and click Open.
- To add another file to the upload, click Upload Another File.
- Add a brief comment to accompany the file(s).
- Click Upload and ensure the file(s) appear in the relevant Channel or DM.
