Desktop Notifications alert you to new Messages, Video Conference invitations, and more across Announcements, Channels, and Direct Messages. Email Notifications send reminders about those alerts to your inbox.
To customize your Notifications preferences:
- Navigate to the top-right corner of the screen, next to your profile picture, and select the ellipses icon
- Click on Settings
- On the left side, under the App Settings submenu, select Notifications
- Under Desktop Notifications, enable or disable alerts for Announcements, Channels, and Direct Messages using their respective toggles
- Click on each respective dropdown arrow to toggle notifications at a granular level
- Under Email Notifications, adjust your preferences using the provided toggles
