Global Search is a tool that pulls search results from any Channel, Direct Message, Announcement, or File Repository that you can access.
To use Global Search:
- Locate and click into the search bar at the top of the screen
- Type keywords relevant to your search. Results will begin appearing automatically
- Click on the gear icon to the right of the search bar to open the Filters pop-up menu
- Select from the provided filters to further narrow down your search. You may choose to focus on a specific message type, a flag color, and/or timeframe
- Press the green Search button at the bottom-right of the Filters pop-up
- Sift through the results to find what you are looking for
