In Workstorm, you can send files to Channels and Direct Messages from within the conversation. Files can be uploaded from a document management system (DMS), such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, or iManage. Files can also be uploaded straight from your device.
To upload a file from a DMS:
- Navigate to the bottom-left of the conversation, beneath the message bar, and select the Upload File icon
- Select a DMS – OneDrive for example
- If you are not already logged into your DMS account, click the Sign-in button and enter your credentials
- Navigate to the file or use the search bar at the top of the window
- Click Share Files and ensure the file(s) appear in the relevant conversation
To upload a file from your device:
- Navigate to the bottom-left of the conversation, beneath the message bar, and select the Upload File icon
- Select Upload from Desktop
- Select your file using one of the following two methods:
- Drag and drop your file into the Upload Files pop-up window
- Click Select File(s) from Desktop, locate your file, and click Open
- Preview your file:
- If you need to send another, click Upload Another File
- Add a comment to accompany the file
- Click Upload and ensure the file(s) appear in the relevant conversation
